Should African Countries Stop Using All Foreign Languages as their Lingua Franca?

The use of French, English, Arabic and Spanish as the lingua Franca across all African countries has led to the relegation of indigenous African languages to the background. This has led to the gradual extinction of some languages.
Posterity demands that something be done to prevent the extinction of our indigenous languages.
I am of the opinion that we should stop the use of foreign languages as our lingual Franca.
What do you think?

I agree that there is a gradual extinction of indigenous African Languages. Sadly - switching to indigenous languages would only complicate matters and separate us even more.

Going on Wikipedia

The most spoken language in Africa is Arabic - with 150 million users. But that is predominantly North Africa. Swahili only has 15 Million Native Speakers and mostly in Central and Eastern Africa.
The rest of the continent is a mix of Regional languages - Shona, Somali, Yoruba, Zulu, Afrikaans, etc.

Using the existing Lingua Franca actually simplifies communication and interaction.
