While growing up, I was used to hearing parents chastising their grown children not to marry from one tribe or the other due to stereotypes and prejudice. But that was all in our dark past, or so I thought. As a matter of fact, I recently overheard a friend's mother instructing her son to never marry from a particular tribe.
According to her, women from the said tribe kill their husbands at a young age to inherit their properties. While this is laughable, it still points out that prejudice is a monumental problem on our continent that needs to be addressed with urgency.
What steps do you think we should start taking to combat this nonsensical issue?
